Tiberius Aerospace pushes Invictus into formal testing with Mach 3 speed and 200-kilometre precision-strike range

Tiberius Aerospace has moved its Invictus long-range precision strike system into formal engineering Test & Evaluation. The programme is advancing from early laboratory work towards validation of a system designed for use across land and sea platforms.

Invictus is a tube-launched, multi-mission system built for integration across multiple platforms and domains. Its architecture is intended to support launch from vertical launch systems and autonomous vehicles operating on land and at sea.

The programme follows Tiberius Aerospace’s development of Sceptre, its first ramjet munition, which was launched in May 2025. The company recently reported successful ramjet ignition during live firing in the United States.

Tiberius said the work on Sceptre helped accelerate Invictus from exploratory laboratory development into a formal engineering programme. Testing will focus on propulsion, flight performance, guidance, platform integration and manufacturability.

Direct-connect testing of the Invictus ramjet engine is already under way at Purdue’s Zucrow Laboratories. Tiberius said the engine has demonstrated excellent operability using Jet-A across all conditions tested to date.

The company said the programme is advancing as the United States and its allies seek to rebuild long-range precision strike capacity faster than traditional defence production can replenish it. Tiberius said the U.S. Army used virtually all of its stockpile of ATACMS and Precision Strike Missiles during the five-month conflict with Iran.

Western missile inventories in Europe have also come under growing pressure, according to the company. Tiberius said NATO governments and manufacturers are accelerating production and rebuilding stockpiles.

Invictus is being designed to address both strike capability and production capacity. The system combines long-range precision with an architecture intended for adaptability and production at scale.

The Invictus-200 will pair a ramjet with an integral booster and is designed to reach speeds of up to Mach 3. It is intended to strike targets at ranges of up to 200 kilometres, with targeting precision of 5.5-metre CEP depending on the guidance configuration.

The weapon will have a payload capacity of 10–15 kilograms. Its modular, open architecture is intended to support different missions and allow the system to evolve as operational requirements change.
