Entirely developed in Poland, the COMP@N-Z radio is certified for processing classified information marked “Restricted”. This milestone delivery marks a major step in strengthening Poland’s technological sovereignty in the defence sector.
“From the beginning of our operations, our strategy has focused on developing proprietary solutions,” said Bartłomiej Zając, CEO of Radmor. “Only our own products can be manufactured without restrictions, modified as needed, and exported freely. Nationally developed systems are the only guarantee of full national control over military communications and protection against unauthorised interference or remote deactivation.”
The deployment of the COMP@N-Z system enhances Poland’s status as a producer of advanced communication systems that meet the highest security standards within NATO and the European Union. The ability to independently manufacture secure radios is seen as increasingly vital in light of evolving defence needs and the global security situation.
The COMP@N-Z is a software-defined radio (SDR) equipped with modern tactical communication capabilities. Its certification followed a comprehensive verification process that assessed hardware, software, waveforms, and cryptographic document management systems.
According to WB Group, no foreign supplier of radio equipment for the Polish Armed Forces matches the COMP@N-Z’s level of security certification and compliance with national requirements. This development underscores the high level of expertise of WB Group engineers and reflects years of investment in national technological capabilities.
The COMP@N-Z system includes the H09-Z/1 handheld radio, which features BMS IP and W2FH waveforms for improved resistance to interference. Its secure transmission system enables classified voice and data communication in accordance with SCIP/STACiS (STANAG 5068) and NINE (STANAG 4787) standards.
In addition to the handheld H09-Z/1, the COMP@N-Z family comprises the V09-Z/1 vehicle radio, a Radio Network Planning System, a Cryptographic Data Management and Generation System, and a full suite of accessories. These include chargers, power supplies, adapters, amplifiers, antennas, handsets, speakers, and control units.
The COMP@N-Z radio system is authorised to handle information up to the national Restricted level as well as NATO and EU Restricted levels, with certification issued by the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service on 12 June 2025. The system supports both secure and unclassified voice and data communication.
The Radio Network Planning System enables tactical-level communication planning from brigade level downward, supporting effective command and cooperation. Meanwhile, the Cryptographic Data Management and Generation System manages the full lifecycle of the radios, including their initialization, cryptographic data generation, and operational configuration.
