ST Engineering Antycip is delivering a cutting-edge virtual training solution for the UK Ministry of Defence’s Joint Command and Staff Trainer (JCAST) programme. Developed in collaboration with MASS and Hadean, the system uses the MAK ONE suite from MAK Technologies to support immersive, agile, and future-ready mission preparation.

Headquartered in Oxfordshire, Antycip is providing an AI-powered virtual environment based on its VR-Forces simulation engine, forming the core of the new JCAST platform. The system is designed to enhance strategic and operational training across a range of combat scenarios.

The project combines MASS’s expertise in command and control systems, Hadean’s advanced artificial intelligence, and Antycip’s high-fidelity simulation technology. VR-Forces, a Computer Generated Forces (CGF) platform from MAK ONE, enables realistic, autonomous agents to support tactical to strategic-level training, experimentation, and mission rehearsal.

Integrating Hadean’s AI with VR-Forces allows military personnel to engage in adaptive, complex scenarios, delivering effective training and analysis beyond conventional limitations. “This project is a strong example of what happens when open-architecture simulation platforms like MAK ONE meet the power of AI,” said Colin Chester, Partner Solutions Architect at Antycip.

He added, “We’re proud to play a key role in enabling the UK MoD to evolve its training capabilities and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.” Chester also noted, “This new training capability represents more than a technological upgrade; it’s a step-change in how defence organisations prepare for uncertainty, complexity, and joint-force operations.”

Antycip is increasingly recognised as a trusted simulation integrator for defence institutions across Europe. Its solutions are known for being modular, interoperable, and compliant with NATO standards, combining technical precision with operational insight.
