The German Federal Government has announced the delivery of two Patriot air defence system launchers to Ukraine. This move constitutes additional German support for Ukraine, with the intent to bolster the air and missile defence capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Previously, Germany provided Ukraine with an undisclosed quantity of missiles for the Patriot air defence system, which were delivered by the United States. In addition to this, Berlin has also transferred two units of the IRIS-T SLM air defence system to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This system, manufactured by the German defense industry, has demonstrated exceptional efficiency in Ukraine. According to Ukrainian military sources, the effectiveness of the IRIS-T SLM system stands at an impressive 100 percent.
