Astor Defence expands global gootprint with new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Florida

Astor Defense USA will be dedicated to manufacturing a comprehensive range of military packaging. The new facility will produce small, medium, and large caliber ammunition cans as well as spiral wound mortar containers for 60, 81 and 120mm mortars plus foam internal packaging, and will enable Astor Defense USA to provide a comprehensive packaging solution from a single supplier, streamlining supply chain operations and storage for its clients, along with innovative, customized packaging solutions designed to address the varied needs of their customers. This strategic move will enable the company to better serve its American clients, including many of the prime defence contractors and the US Government.

The new facility will include manufacturing, testing and design facilities, including a high-tech assembly line with a state of the art six stage Zinc Phosphate Pre-treatment Plant conforming to military specification TTC490 and a fully automated Powder Coating and Wet Paint Line with a capability of producing over 5000 boxes per day, and the in-house laboratories will enable a full range of destructive testing to be carried out on site.

In addition, Astor Defense USA will supply their premium military grade TNT products, as well as ball powder propellant for small caliber ammunition, primers, brass cartridge cases, and projectiles.

Florida is recognized as a premier location for defence companies, with many of the major defence contractors from the US and abroad having significant operations in the state and being on the East Coast, with its thriving ports, will also enable Astor to supply their European customers.
