The accolades come on the heels of Astor Defence’s substantial investment in a new advanced manufacturing facility on the South Coast of England, amounting to over £2.1 million. This state-of-the-art facility, featuring a bespoke six-stage Zinc Phosphate Pre-treatment Plant and a fully automated Powder Coating and Wet Paint Line, has significantly expanded the company’s production capacity to more than 5,000 boxes per day. The expansion not only enhances Astor Defence’s operational efficiency but also ensures the company can meet the increasing demands of its defence clients with precision and reliability.
Astor Defence’s commitment to innovation is further demonstrated by the establishment of an in-house laboratory within the new facility, equipped with the latest testing equipment for ammunition containers. This move ensures that all products adhere to the highest standards of quality, robustness, and safety. The investment in comprehensive testing infrastructure, including Tensile Weld Test machines and Applied Vacuum Engineering Test Chambers, enables Astor Defence to conduct all necessary testing in-house, reinforcing the company’s dedication to supporting national manufacturing capabilities.
