In response to emerging threats and advancements in mission equipment and weapon systems, the AAPCs will undergo selective upgrades. FNSS will focus on improving mobility, protection levels, life support, electronic systems, situational awareness, and firepower, the FNSS said in a press release.
The upgrade package includes a dual gun remote-controlled weapon system with a close-range surveillance system, auxiliary power unit, A/C system, automatic fire suppression system, spall liners, driver vision system, navigation system, and integration of the gunshot detection system. The contract also includes a comprehensive overhaul of the vehicles, including the engine and transmission. These enhancements will significantly increase the vehicles’ reliability, durability, and mission capabilities while reducing maintenance requirements during operational deployments.
According to FNSS, the company has a successful track record in completing modernization programs for various armies, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Bahrain, and the Philippines.
