According to IWI, the ARAD is specifically crafted to accommodate a wide range of combat scenarios, demonstrated by its unique capability to change calibers from 5.56x45mm to 300BLK. The rifle features a picatinny rail integrated into the upper receiver, enabling users to attach various optics and accessories. Additionally, M-LOK rails are positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions on the handguard. The rifle also includes a telescopic buttstock that allows users to customize the length to their individual preferences.

IWI emphasizes that the rifle’s modular design facilitates easy barrel disassembly and replacement. The weapon is fully ambidextrous, featuring controls on both sides of the rifle. The IWI ARAD Assault Rifle operates using a short-stroke gas piston with a regulator, ensuring consistent performance in diverse environmental conditions.

The company highlights that the rifle is engineered for minimal operator and armorer-level maintenance, leading to reduced maintenance and life cycle costs. Notably, the quick-detachable barrel can be replaced by the user without the need to disassemble the assault grip.
