Lithuania and Israel agreed on a closer cooperation on cybersecurity

On March 2, a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the area of cybersecurity was signed in Jerusalem between the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania and the Israel National Cyber Directorate.

“Cyber threats know no borders, therefore cooperation with Israel and exchange of relevant information and knowledge will help to improve cybersecurity of both countries,” said Liudas Ališauskas, Director of the National Cyber Security Centre under the MoD, signing the agreement.




The agreement encompasses bilateral expert consultations, cooperation to enhance critical infrastructure resilience, participation n cybersecurity events and conferences.

During the visit L. Ališauskas also met with Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate Gaby Portnoy to discuss changes in the cybersecurity environment in the recent year and nearest practical cooperation plans.
