Micropol Fiberoptic expands with new state-of-the-art facility in Halmstad

By Defence Industry Europe

Micropol Fiberoptic is advancing its growth plans by investing in a new production facility at a prime location along highway E6 in Halmstad. The new building will significantly boost production capacity by introducing more workstations and increasing the number of staff, enabling the company to take on larger and more complex projects.

“Our current facility in Ã…led does not allow for further growth,” says Peter Ljungkvist, CEO of Micropol Fiberoptic. “The new facility will allow us to expand and diversify our business, enabling us to broaden our current offer of tactical communication — for example, the ability to install, repair and refurbish customers’ platforms will be increased.”

The new premises will cover approximately 4,600 square metres and will include areas for production, a cleanroom, warehouse, customer showroom, offices, and shared staff spaces. The development represents a major milestone in the company’s evolution and will strengthen its position in the fibre optics industry.

The strategic location along highway E6 offers excellent logistical advantages, providing improved accessibility for staff, customers, and partners. The investment underlines Micropol Fiberoptic’s long-term commitment to growth and service enhancement.

Construction of the new facility will commence in May 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. HF 2 AB will serve as the landlord, while MTA Bygg och Anläggning Halland AB has been appointed as the contractor for the project.
