Saab’s 9AIR C4I system is designed to enhance control over air and space operations by integrating weapons, sensors, and communications. The system offers flexibility and scalability, enabling NATO forces to effectively manage complex air defence and surveillance missions.
The 9AIR product portfolio also includes the 9AIR Trainer, a system that supports operator training for advanced command and control scenarios. Additionally, Saab’s 9CCIS solution provides efficient tools for mission planning, resource management, and operational assessment.
Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance, emphasised the significance of this order in strengthening NATO’s air defence capabilities. He stated that the system supports mission planning, tasking, and control across a wide range of operational scenarios, reinforcing the effectiveness of NATO forces.
With this latest contract, Saab continues to expand its role as a key supplier of command and control solutions for air and space operations. The deal highlights the growing demand for advanced defence technologies that enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency in modern warfare.
