Aselsan tests Deringöz Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV)

Turkish defence giant Aselsan has successfully completed the diving tests of Türkiye’s first autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), named Deringöz.

Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer Baykar Technologies has announced that it conducted significant tests on the Akinci drone. During the test, the drone hit a moving maritime target using the Aseflir-500 electro-optical head and MAM-L and MAM-T guided bombs.

Throughout the tests, the MAM-L and MAM-T aerial bombs were guided at the moving target with the assistance of the next-generation Aseflir-500 electro-optical system.

Saudi Arabian companies have entered into 3 agreements with the Turkish defence industry concerning participation in the construction of Bayraktar Akinci High-Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) drones. SAMI (Saudi Arabian Military Industries) has signed an agreement with Baykar, while Aselsan and Roketsan have signed agreements with NCMS (National Company for Mechanical Systems).
