Swedish defence company Saab has declared its readiness to offer the GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system for Canada’s ongoing acquisition programme.

The Swedish defence procurement agency (FMV) has signed a contract with Saab to expedite the delivery of two previously ordered GlobalEye early warning aircraft. This agreement is part of a prior contract that includes a third GlobalEye aircraft, according to a press release from FMV.

Saab has signed a contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding delivery of a third GlobalEye airborne early warning and control aircraft to Sweden. The order value is approximately SEK 2.6 billion and the delivery period is 2024-2029.
