The agreement continues the partnership established through the Global Cooperation Agreement announced by Saab and CAE in November 2025. Saab said it reflects the companies’ shared ambition to deepen collaboration and broaden cooperation in training and simulation.
Under the agreement, Saab said it will strengthen its offer for Canada’s AEW&C programme by integrating CAE’s training expertise. The companies said the collaboration will provide fully integrated and scalable training and simulation solutions for the Canadian Armed Forces.
Saab said the solutions are designed to improve operational readiness and effectiveness. The agreement also supports the companies’ wider cooperation on future opportunities.
“GlobalEye delivers cutting-edge multi-domain surveillance, offering long-range detection and advanced situational awareness across air, maritime, and land domains,” said Micael Johansson, President and CEO at Saab.
“We value the opportunity to further strengthen our partnership with CAE and to collaborate on the Canadian programme, which will also serve as a stepping stone for future opportunities,” Johansson said.
“CAE’s world-class defence expertise will be critical to enabling a high-performance AEW&C capability for Canada,” said Matt Bromberg, President and Chief Executive Officer, CAE.
“Building on our longstanding collaboration and trust with Saab, this agreement reflects our shared commitment to delivering innovative, integrated solutions that strengthen operational performance and support Canada’s defence priorities,” Bromberg said.
Saab said the agreement underlines its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Canada’s industrial base. By working with CAE and using Canadian expertise, Saab said it aims to support sovereign capability, drive innovation and contribute to long-term growth in Canada’s aerospace and defence sector.
