Airbus has finalised a contract for the purchase of 10 H125 helicopters by U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations. The aircraft will be operated by Air and Marine Operations to support law enforcement, border security and public safety missions across the United States.

“The expansion of this H125 fleet underscores the long-standing collaboration between Airbus and U.S. Customs and Border Protection,” said Bart Reijnen, Head of the North America Region for Airbus Helicopters. “This selection highlights the trust placed in the H125 to perform critical public safety missions under demanding conditions. Airbus remains committed to supporting the agency with reliable aircraft and comprehensive services to ensure continuous mission readiness.”

Airbus said the H125 light enforcement helicopter is an important asset for airborne law enforcement operations in North America. The aircraft is configured to operate efficiently in extreme environments and is intended to provide the versatility and reliability required for multi-role homeland security operations.

The H125 is manufactured at Airbus’ facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Airbus said the helicopter offers excellent visibility and multi-mission flexibility for patrol surveillance and tactical operations at low operating costs.

The aircraft includes advanced safety features as standard equipment. These include dual-channel full authority digital engine control, an engine data recorder and a dual hydraulic flight control system.

Airbus said the integrated systems reduce pilot workload and improve operational safety during complex tactical flights. The company said these features support demanding public safety and homeland security missions.

The H125 is a leading light single-engine helicopter globally, according to Airbus. The new acquisition is expected to strengthen CBP AMO’s operational capabilities and support its fleet modernisation goals.
