Danish radar maker Weibel Scientific reported revenue of DKK 903 million for the 2025/26 financial year. The result represented 10% growth compared with the previous year and reflected sustained demand across defence and security markets.

EBITDA amounted to DKK 115 million, while development investments remained high at DKK 106 million. Weibel said the investment level was in line with the previous year and supported its broader effort to build a more scalable operating platform.

The company said its performance reflected a market shaped by a more complex geopolitical environment. It said increased focus on air defence and drone detection continues to drive demand for advanced radar capabilities.

Weibel’s growth builds on its long-standing position in Doppler radar technology. The company has nearly five decades of experience and a globally installed base across more than 40 countries.

The company said it maintains a strong position in instrumentation radars. Demand remains structurally high across defence, test ranges and space-related applications.

Weibel is also expanding its role in emerging air defence applications. Its XENTA platform is gaining traction as a scalable solution for modern air defence and Counter-UAS missions.

The platform addresses the need for early detection and classification of drones and other low, slow and small aerial threats. Weibel said increasing order intake and broader international deployment show the growing importance of this segment as a future growth driver.

During the year, Weibel increased investments in technology, capacity and organisation. The company said these investments affected short-term profitability but were a deliberate step to strengthen its ability to scale.

“We are deliberately building a company that can scale, operationally, technologically, and commercially. That requires investment now, but it enables us to meet the demand ahead and deliver consistently at a higher level,” says CEO Peter Hergett Røpke.

Weibel’s workforce increased by 32% during the year, rising from 460 to 609 employees. The company said the growth reflected higher activity levels and increasing project complexity.

At the same time, Weibel is developing its operating model with more structured, programme-based ways of working. It is also strengthening capabilities in artificial intelligence, digitalisation and software.

“We’re fortunate to be able to attract strong talent, which goes hand in hand with offering exciting opportunities in an industry that contributes to a higher purpose of defending ourselves and our allies,” says Peter Hergett Røpke. The company said its organisation has become more international as it continues to scale.

Weibel enters the new financial year with a solid order book and a strong pipeline. The company said this provides a foundation to continue delivering double-digit growth.

Weibel expects continued revenue growth and improved earnings in the coming year. It said the outlook is supported by stronger execution and increasing operational leverage as recent investments begin to take effect.
