The demonstration took place at the Konya Karapınar Firing Test Range on 2 September 2026, with military officials from more than 15 countries attending. The event tested the guidance systems against four different targets, including one travelling at 50 kilometres per hour.
The F-16 launched two LGK 84 guidance kits, one against an armoured personnel carrier and the other against a tank. ASELSAN said both engagements resulted in direct hits.
A Bayraktar Akıncı launched an LGK 82 against a second armoured personnel carrier before using GÖZDE against the moving target. Both weapons also struck their designated targets directly, according to the company.
The LGK 82 and LGK 84 are designed to convert free-fall bombs into precision-guided weapons for attacks on ground targets. GÖZDE, developed by ASELSAN with TÜBİTAK SAGE, combines precision guidance with a capability tailored to engage moving targets.
The demonstration covered crewed and uncrewed launch platforms, different guidance products and both stationary and moving targets. ASELSAN said the results showed that its systems could support precision engagements across varied operational scenarios.
