Belgium has committed EUR 100 million to support Ukraine through the maintenance and assistance of F-16 fighter jets, aligning with the global F-16 coalition efforts. This announcement was made by Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder, highlighting Belgium's role in the international initiative.

In recent developments, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba revealed plans for F-16 jets to be operational in Ukraine by mid-summer, with expectations set around June 2024 based on European official sources cited by Foreign Policy on February 18. This timeline aligns with earlier projections of the jets’ arrival in the first half of 2024.
