The award follows Boeing’s recent delivery of F-15EX-22, the first aircraft under the Lot 3 contract. Boeing plans to continue Lot 3 deliveries through the remainder of the year.
The company is also working with the Air Force and the Department of War to increase production to two aircraft per month. The F-15EX is the latest version of the Eagle family, incorporating an all-glass touchscreen cockpit and advanced mission systems.
“Boeing is committed to delivering this critically important aircraft to the U.S. Air Force, which will strengthen the nation’s ability to project power and stay ahead of emerging threats around the world,” said Christina Upah, Boeing’s F-15 program vice president. The additional order expands Boeing’s contracted production commitments alongside its effort to raise the manufacturing rate.
