The P5 subsystem provides encrypted, real-time data to augment training scenarios and replicate adversary threats realistically. This cutting-edge solution allows pilots to refine their tactics while protecting sensitive operational techniques.
Paul Averna, Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Training Solutions at Cubic Defense, highlighted the innovation behind P5 IS. He stated that the system enables seamless data sharing between 4th and 5th generation aircraft, ensuring greater operational readiness and effectiveness for F-35 pilots worldwide.
The system integrates within the P5 training network, which spans over 30 test and training ranges in 17 countries. This global reach supports multi-domain combat asset integration and enhances collaboration among allied forces.
Additionally, the system’s data feeds into Cubic’s SPEAR (Simplified Planning Execution Analysis Reconstruction) platform, which accelerates post-mission analysis. The result is improved combat effectiveness through advanced data visualisation and scenario reconstruction.
