DSEI Germany has announced the opening of a fourth exhibition hall ahead of its debut in March 2027, following what organisers described as unprecedented industry demand. The event is planned as a leading defence and security exhibition in Germany, bringing together defence manufacturers, industrial suppliers and emerging companies from across the supply chain.

The exhibition will take place from 9 to 12 March 2027 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, Europe’s largest exhibition venue. The additional hall will increase DSEI Germany’s indoor footprint to 100,000 square metres, alongside 25,000 square metres of outdoor display space.

Together, the indoor and outdoor areas will cover space equivalent to 18 football pitches. Organisers said the expansion comes nine months before the inaugural event, after exhibition space in the original three halls reached capacity.

DSEI Germany is being launched at a significant time for European defence, security and strategic autonomy. The organisers said Germany’s annual defence budget is set to rise to €180 billion by 2030, and the event is intended to support the strategic priorities of Germany, Europe and NATO.

The show will also create opportunities for dialogue between military and political leadership and industry. The fourth hall will allow broader representation across the Air and Space, Land, Naval, and Cyber and Information sectors.

The Federation of German Security and Defence Industries, BDSV, has also been confirmed as an industry partner. BDSV represents the collective interests of the German security and defence industries, supporting more than 400 companies.

The trade association also serves as a bridge between industry, the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Bundeswehr, policymakers, institutions and media. Its involvement adds an industry link to the first edition of the exhibition.

He added, “DSEI Germany aims to support NATO’s European members achieve greater independence in their ability to deter, and if necessary, defeat, an adversary. The response from industry is a clear sign of confidence in Europe’s defence and security sectors and the continent’s ability to scale up its industrial capacity and capability development”.

DSEI Germany will be held in partnership with Deutsche Messe AG. The event will take place from 9 to 12 March 2027 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds.
