Embraer reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of US$1.4 billion, the highest first-quarter revenue in the company’s history. The result represented a 31% increase compared with the same period last year, driven primarily by growth in the Defense & Security and Commercial Aviation divisions.

The company posted adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of US$94 million for the quarter, with an adjusted EBIT margin of 6.5%, compared with 5.6% in the first quarter of 2025. Adjusted net income totalled US$27.7 million, down from US$50 million a year earlier.

Net income attributable to shareholders reached US$33.4 million, while net income per American Depositary Share stood at US$0.1856. In the first quarter of 2025, those figures were US$73.4 million and US$0.3997 respectively.

Embraer said investments during the quarter totalled US$98.8 million, compared with US$88.2 million in the same period last year. Including investments in Eve Air Mobility, total investments reached US$148.6 million, above the US$124.5 million reported a year earlier.

The Defense & Security division recorded revenue of US$227 million during the quarter, marking a 63% year-over-year increase. The company said the performance reflected stronger KC-390 Millennium revenue recognition linked to customer mix and production stage, as well as increased production rates of the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.

Gross margin in the Defense & Security segment increased from 12.3% to 26.8% year-over-year, while adjusted EBIT margin rose from negative 1.6% to 17%. Embraer said the result was supported by the positive impact of one-time items.

Commercial Aviation revenue totalled US$293 million during the quarter, representing a 45% increase compared with the first quarter of 2025. The company attributed the performance mainly to higher aircraft volumes and pricing.

The Executive Jets division reported revenue of US$418 million, up 30% year-over-year, driven by higher volumes and changes in product mix. Services & Support revenue reached US$490 million, an increase of 15%, supported by higher volumes across all business segments, particularly Defense & Security.

Embraer delivered 44 aircraft during the first quarter of 2026, a 47% increase compared with 30 aircraft delivered in the same quarter last year. Deliveries included 10 commercial jets, consisting of four E2 aircraft and six E1 aircraft, 29 executive jets and five defence aircraft.

The military-related deliveries included one KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft and four A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft. Embraer said Commercial Aviation deliveries increased by 43% year-over-year, while Executive Aviation deliveries rose by 26%.

The company’s order backlog reached US$32.1 billion, up 22% year-over-year and marking Embraer’s sixth consecutive record backlog level.
