Rheinmetall has doubled its syndicated credit line to €1.5 billion from €750 million. The German defence company renewed the facility ahead of schedule.

The new line replaces the previous €750 million facility. It is available to Rheinmetall for general corporate purposes.

Rheinmetall also strategically realigned its group of main core banks. The group now includes additional international banking partners.

The company said the new line creates additional financial leeway. It aligns the finance structure with the group’s expected growth at an early stage.

Rheinmetall said the transaction strengthens long-term relationships with its existing main core banks. It also expands the banking network to include strategic partners.

Credit line follows €500 million bond

The renewal is another step in the development of the group’s financing. Rheinmetall placed a €500 million bond on the capital market in May 2026.

The larger credit line broadens the company’s finance base. It also increases financial flexibility for the group’s future development.

CFO cites growth trajectory

“Rheinmetall is on a dynamic growth trajectory,” said Klaus Neumann, CFO of Rheinmetall AG. “By renewing and doubling our syndicated credit line ahead of schedule, we are creating additional financial leeway at an early stage for the Group’s further development.”

“At the same time, we have further developed our group of main core banks and added strategic international partners,” Neumann said. “Following the successful bond issuance in May, this is a further important step towards consistently aligning our finance structure with Rheinmetall’s future growth.”
