Be it drone applications, crisis prevention from space or the latest advances in the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) – at ILA Berlin from 5 to 9 June 2024 the focus is on the latest developments in international aerospace. The leading trade fair for sustainability, new technology and innovation is taking place at Berlin’s airport BER. It gathers representatives of industry, politics, the armed forces and science and this year will be the biggest aerospace exhibition in the EU.

Exhibitors from around the world present innovations

Under the headings Defence & Support, Aviation, Space, Suppliers and Advanced Air Mobility, ILA Berlin covers the entire value chain of the aerospace industry. Some 600 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected to attend, making ILA not only larger but also even more international than the last event. Around 35 per cent of exhibitors are from abroad. This is the first time that Finland, a new member of NATO, is hosting its own pavilion.

Defence Park expands its military aviation displays

The Defence & Support segment is divided into two parts: the Military Support Center MSC in Hall 3, where the Luftwaffe and industry are displaying their joint efforts to ensure the combat readiness of aircraft and equipment, as well as the new Defence Park, which stretches from the outdoor display site to Hall 3, and where visitors can get a first-hand impression of numerous military aircraft. Among them will be a Tornado, painted in special colours to mark its fiftieth anniversary, which for the first time will be on show to the general public. Another highlight will be a flypast of the Luftwaffe – with a Eurofighter, Tornado and A330 MRTT refuelling aircraft.

Platform for the future of military aviation

On the stage at the Defence Forum Air, representatives of politics, science and the armed forces will discuss projects and visions concerning autonomy, networking and AI. The focus will be on flagship projects such as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) which aims to develop a next-generation weapons system.

After the trade visitor days from 5 to 7 June ILA is open to the general public on the weekend of 8 and 9 June. Tickets are available online only and are priced at 60 euros for trade visitors and 25 euros for the general public on the weekend of the show.
