Israeli defence officials and industry leaders discuss boosting military production

The Director General of Israel's Ministry of Defence, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, has held a situational assessment with the heads of Israel’s major defence companies. Participating in the meeting were the CEOs of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Elbit Systems, Tomer, and senior Ministry officials.

The discussion focused on accelerating the production of critical military equipment needed for the ongoing campaign. It also addressed preparations by the defence industries to protect and ensure the continued operation of vital systems in the face of the Iranian missile threat.

Maj. Gen. (Res.) Baram emphasised the strategic importance of advanced Israeli military technologies. “The capability to reach Tehran and strike regime and nuclear facilities with such precision and simultaneously, as well as to effectively counter massive barrages of ballistic missiles, would not have been achievable without the breakthrough Israeli technologies developed over years of investment at the IMOD’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development DDR&D (MAFAT) and within our defence industries,” he stated.

He also warned of the challenges that remain, acknowledging vulnerabilities in current defensive systems. “We face significant challenges ahead: our defensive systems are not impenetrable, and while we celebrate our achievements, we must look forward strategically—strengthening Israel’s industrial base, enabling enhanced production capacity, and accelerating the development of next-generation combat systems across both offensive and defensive capabilities,” he said.
