The result gives Lockheed Martin UK an early position in a program aimed at hardening Britain’s defense supply chain. It also comes before wider compliance deadlines for MOD industry partners.
The Ministry of Defence has asked all industry partners to achieve Level 0 by December 31, 2026. That requirement applies to suppliers of all sizes across the defense sector.
The certification framework sits within a broader UK cyber resilience push. It follows the Cyber Resilience Pledge and comes ahead of planned national cyber measures.
Lockheed Martin UK said the award reflects the growing role of cyber protection in defense delivery. The company said cyber resilience now affects program performance, supply-chain security and operational readiness.
Eleanor Fairford, Director of Cyber Defence & Risk, Ministry of Defence said, “I am delighted that Lockheed Martin has successfully achieved Level 3 of the new Defence Cyber Certification demonstrating excellent cyber resilience in their business supporting UK Defence.”
Paul Livingston, Chief Executive, UK & NATO, Lockheed Martin, said the achievement came before deadline. He linked it to secure operations and supply-chain assurance for MOD customers.
“By achieving DCC Level 3 ahead of deadline, Lockheed Martin UK has demonstrated its leadership in defence cyber security and its commitment to maintaining the trusted, secure and dependable operations and supply chain that its MOD customers expect.” said Paul Livingston, Chief Executive, UK & NATO, Lockheed Martin.
“Strong cyber resilience enables us to deliver with confidence for our customers and partners, and achieving Level 3 reflects our continued investment in, and focus on, delivering sovereign secure ’Secure by Design‘ operations for our customers in the UK every day.”
Lockheed Martin UK said it will continue working with suppliers and industry partners. The aim is to strengthen cyber resilience across the UK defense industry.
The company also credited employees across its UK business for the milestone. It said their work supports the trust placed in Lockheed Martin by customers and partners.
