The agreement covers components for the growing European fleet of S-70, UH-60M and UH-60A/L aircraft. ČLS will stock parts recommended by Sikorsky at its warehouse, improving the availability of high-demand items for operators.
“As the Hawk helicopter fleet grows in Europe, we are committed to supporting operator readiness for emergency response, security operations and more,” said Rich Benton, vice president and general manager, Sikorsky. “By working alongside ČLS, we are strengthening our service footprint in the European Union and ensuring timely parts delivery for Black Hawk helicopters.”
ČLS has experience providing turnkey avionics and equipment solutions for helicopter and fixed-wing platforms. Its appointment followed a detailed review against Sikorsky’s quality, process and policy requirements for authorized distributors.
“Being appointed an authorized Sikorsky distribution center for the European Union countries marks a significant milestone for ČLS and proves our expertise in modernizations and after- sales support of helicopter platforms,” said Monika Kowalczykova, CEO of ČLS. The authorization allows ČLS to distribute Sikorsky components throughout the European Union.
The center adds an EU presence to Sikorsky’s regional distribution network, which also covers South America, the Middle East and Asia. The expanded network forms part of the company’s strategy to position sustainment support closer to Black Hawk operators.
ČLS and Sikorsky are also working with PZL Mielec and United Rotorcraft toward the launch of an S-70 Firehawk helicopter program for the Czech Republic. The initiative links the new parts arrangement with broader efforts to expand Black Hawk operations and support in Europe.
PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company, manufactures the S-70 Black Hawk in Poland with participation from regional suppliers. Sikorsky said that production base supports the local supply chain and strengthens European fleet readiness.
The Black Hawk family is used for humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, tactical air mobility and joint-force operations. Sikorsky said its reliability, versatility and rapid-deployment capability make the aircraft suited to a broad range of European missions.
