Orbit enhances SATCOM systems with AI reliability

By Arie Egozi

Israeli company Orbit Communications Systems announced a major technological advancement by implementing AI capabilities in its entire portfolio of SATCOM systems for land, air, and sea.

According to the company, the AI constantly monitors and analyzes the systems’ performance, giving an alert for a malfunction that starts to form, even at a very early stage, so that the customer can arrive on time, even for a system located in a very remote area, perform preventive maintenance and repair, while connectivity continues without any interruption.

Potential issues are detected long before they become critical, thus providing the utmost reliability, always ensuring peak performance and connectivity, without the need for major maintenance or significant downtime.

Orbit says that the AI capability can be implemented in Orbit’s entire portfolio – the Multi-Purpose SATCOM terminal for air platforms and small vessels, the OceanTRx family of SATCOM terminals for naval platforms, and the GAIA family of Earth Observation Systems.

Daniel Eshchar, CEO of Orbit, said that high-speed continuous communication has become a demand in both the military and commercial markets. “We are not just integrating AI into our systems; we are redefining the essence of connectivity across air, land, and sea. Our clients, whether in remote areas or deep in the sea, now have the assurance of a system that not only predicts issues before they arise but adapts to ensure uninterrupted service. This leap in technology is a testament to our commitment to provide the most trustworthy and advanced systems for our clients. This level of proactive maintenance is revolutionary in the field of satellite communications, setting a new standard for reliability and customer satisfaction.”
