Oshkosh Defense, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, announced the completion of its 20,000th Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) as part of their ongoing commitment to serving the U.S. Armed Forces with the most advanced tactical wheeled vehicles.

The milestone achievement underscores the exceptional capabilities of the Oshkosh team, who have consistently demonstrated their dedication to meeting the needs of the military. Despite the challenges posed by a global pandemic and disruptions in the supply chain, Oshkosh Defense has proven its ability to deliver the JLTV reliably and efficiently.

Tim Bleck, Oshkosh Corporation’s Senior Vice President and President of Oshkosh Defense, reflected on the progress made since the celebration of the 10,000th JLTV just over two years ago. He stated, “Despite the unprecedented circumstances we faced, Oshkosh has remained steadfast in our commitment to delivering the JLTV to our customers. This milestone reinforces our position as a trusted provider of reliable and high-performing tactical vehicles.”

Throughout the JLTV program, Oshkosh Defense has maintained a strong emphasis on delivering vehicles on time and within budget, a key priority since securing the initial contract in 2015. This achievement can be attributed to Oshkosh’s streamlined production line, optimized manufacturing processes, a robust supply chain, and an exceptional team of professionals.

Bleck concluded, “The continued success of the JLTV program is a testament to the collective efforts of Oshkosh. We take pride in our ability to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Armed Forces, and this milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence.”
