Raytheon has signed a term sheet with the Tawazun Council to initiate production of its Coyote counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) interceptor in the United Arab Emirates. The move is intended to enhance global defence supply chains and improve mission readiness for both the United States and allied forces.

The agreement was signed by Fahad Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Raytheon Emirates, and Matar Al Romaithi, Sector Chief of Defence and Security Industry Affairs at Tawazun Council. It was witnessed by U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, Martina Strong, and H.E. Dr. Nasser Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Tawazun Council.

Coyote is a proven solution in combat scenarios and is essential for countering drone threats. Local production in the UAE is expected to enable faster deployment and increased flexibility in meeting operational demands.

“This agreement supports the U.S. defense industrial base by delivering increased capacity and resilience in a high-demand mission area,” said Fahad Al Mheiri. “It’s a testament to the strength of our partnership with Tawazun and the shared vision to drive innovation and readiness through trusted collaboration.”
