The vehicles were handed over at Fort Hood, Texas, and went to the 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, part of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team. Photographs of the event suggest that more than a dozen were delivered.
The Army also took delivery of a batch of M7A4E1s, a specialized Bradley variant used for artillery reconnaissance. Those went to the 2nd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, which also falls under the 1st Cavalry Division.

What is new on the vehicle
Both models add Iron Fist to the upgrades already introduced on the M2A4 and M7A4, which improve crew situational awareness and vehicle survivability. Those upgrades include a more powerful 675-horsepower engine, newer electro-optics, an auxiliary power unit, a battle management system, a diagnostic system and jammers to counter remotely detonated improvised explosive devices.
