UK Ministry of Defence extends training support contract with Saab

Saab has received a follow-on order to extend its provision of training support to the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The Direct Fire Weapon Effects Simulator (DFWES) capability, delivers Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) solutions to the British Army and Royal Marines. TES allows users to simulate Direct and Indirect Fire Effects, gather data, conduct objective assessments of training and conduct After Action Reviews (AAR). The capability is easily deployable and can be scaled to meet any size requirements of customer exercises, no matter the climatic challenges, and be relied upon whether integrating infantry with vehicles or with another international user of Saab services.

Saab has provided this high fidelity, deployable, scalable, flexible and versatile capability in support of Individual, Collective and Mission Specific Training to the UK since 1994. Our UK-based delivery team have supported 150 training events across the UK and the globe in 2022, offering unrivalled interoperability and value for money.
