Defence Support selected Adarga’s Vantage platform to streamline its analysis of potential threats to UK military operations worldwide. The software, which incorporates search, discovery, and generative AI capabilities, enables analysts and decision-makers to access enriched intelligence outputs and improve workflow efficiency.
Charlie Maconochie, Senior Vice President for the Public Sector at Adarga, highlighted the importance of human-machine collaboration in boosting productivity for defence. He stated, “We are delighted that Defence Support is not only saving significant time using Vantage but is also able to scale their research efforts more effectively, focusing on higher-level analysis.”
The Vantage software automatically curates, contextualises, and connects vast amounts of data from over 75 languages, enabling users to interpret information more quickly and thoroughly. This has led to improvements in the quality of insights available to Defence Support, broadening their knowledge base and providing diverse perspectives on global threats.
One key feature of Vantage is its Question and Answer (Q&A) function, which Defence Support has recognised as a valuable tool. Powered by a large language model with built-in safety mechanisms, the Q&A function allows users to generate natural language responses to complex questions and access specific outputs from reports. The function also provides citations and links to source documents, ensuring the information is reliable.
Maconochie added, “Our software provides a powerful means to uncover insights that may have otherwise been missed, by interrogating both proprietary and publicly available data in one secure environment. This capability is crucial for our armed forces, and we are proud to support Defence Support in generating nuanced, evidence-based analyses for strategic decision-making.”
