The program addresses challenges posed by advanced weapons, including ballistic missiles, hypersonic systems and cruise missiles. These threats are described as faster, more maneuverable and capable of operating in greater volume.

As part of the initiative, Anduril and its partners are under contract to develop, test and deliver systems for the Space-Based Interceptor program. The company said it aims to combine its capabilities with technologies from across the commercial space sector.

The team includes partners such as Impulse Space, Inversion Space, K2 Space, Sandia National Laboratories and Voyager Technologies. These organizations contribute expertise in spacecraft, advanced systems and defense technologies.

“The Golden Dome program requires advanced solutions, which is where Impulse excels,” said Eric Romo, president and chief operating officer of Impulse Space. “Not only has our team proven its capability to do hard things quickly, but our spacecraft have too.”

“We’re excited to work on missions that are technically challenging and globally meaningful, and Golden Dome is both,” he added. The company emphasized its focus on rapid development and execution.

“Inversion is excited to partner with Anduril on this critical national security and technical challenge,” said Justin Fiaschetti. “As a team focused on advanced capabilities, we’re building systems designed for speed, scale, and real operational use.”

“Together, our teams are accelerating the next generation of defense capabilities, bringing forces to deliver decisive impact,” he said. The collaboration is intended to support operational readiness at scale.

“K2 Space is building satellites that are bigger and more powerful than anything on orbit, and we’re proud to be involved with Golden Dome to demonstrate what our technologies can bring to the warfighter,” said Karan Kunjur. “We’re honored to partner with Anduril, who shares our vision of building at speed and scale to advance America’s national security.”

“Sandia is excited to partner with Anduril to develop advanced technologies for the warfighter,” said Scott McEntire. “We proudly bring our decades of experience in advanced weapons development to bear as we partner to create new systems!”

“The Space Force’s Space-based Interceptor program is the answer to threats that leave zero reaction time. You have to be already there, already ready, and it’s why getting it right – fast – is a national imperative,” said Matt Magaña. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with Anduril, a company who understands speed and national security.”

“We’re bringing the full force of our company, including the Voyager American Defense Complex, to execute with the scale, infrastructure and technical depth the mission demands,” he added. The partnership is expected to support rapid deployment and scaling of interceptor capabilities.

Anduril said the program reflects a broader effort to integrate hardware and software for layered missile defense. The initiative is aimed at enabling detection, tracking and interception of threats in real time.

The company stated that it is advancing development at pace to meet operational requirements. The program is intended to deliver mission-ready systems aligned with evolving defense needs.
