The visit followed a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year and comes as technical teams from both companies continue joint manufacturing work. ELVO said the cooperation is intended to create new production lines at its Thessaloniki site and support additional hiring.
Executives from the two companies reviewed progress already made and discussed the next phases of the partnership. Both sides regard the cooperation as strategic, with the goal of supplying Greece with proven, state-of-the-art military trucks.
The project would build on ELVO’s existing industrial base in northern Greece. The company, headquartered in Sindos near Thessaloniki, operates facilities covering 273,000 square metres, including 66,000 square metres of enclosed production, testing and storage space.
ELVO 2020 S.A. is the modern continuation of Hellenic Vehicle Industries and has nearly 50 years of experience in manufacturing, assembling, upgrading and supporting military, civilian and special-purpose vehicles. The company said it is investing in production, research and development, testing and specialised technology to strengthen its role as an industrial and technological hub in the wider region.
Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles is a supplier of military logistics and tactical vehicles to armed forces worldwide. The company specialises in high-mobility, durable truck systems designed for modern military operations.
