The aircraft returned to Brazil after its final appearance at the FIDAE air show in Chile. It landed at Embraer’s defence headquarters in Gavião Peixoto following the conclusion of the international campaign.
During the tour, the KC-390 accumulated approximately 140 flight hours under a wide range of operating conditions. These included environments from Arctic cold to hot and humid climates in Asia.
The demonstration campaign was designed to test the aircraft across diverse operational scenarios. Embraer said the aircraft consistently demonstrated high performance and strong availability across all mission profiles.
The flights showcased a broad range of cargo operations. These included transporting containers, medical modules, light and heavy vehicles and palletised loads.
The demonstrations highlighted the aircraft’s versatility in both tactical and logistical roles. They also underscored its ability to adapt to varied operational requirements.
Each of the 54 flights reinforced the maturity of the KC-390 programme. The campaign also demonstrated interoperability, operational flexibility and efficiency, along with reduced operating costs.
The tour began at the Singapore Airshow in late January and covered several regions, including Europe and North America. Stops included countries such as Poland, Sweden and the United States before concluding in Chile.
Embraer said the campaign reaffirmed the KC-390 Millennium’s position within its category. The aircraft is designed to perform complex missions in demanding operational environments.
The KC-390 is a next-generation military transport platform developed to meet modern air force requirements. It is intended to combine performance, flexibility and efficiency in a single aircraft.
Embraer, founded in 1969, has delivered more than 9,000 aircraft worldwide. The company operates across commercial, executive, defence and agricultural aviation sectors, with a global industrial and service presence.
