Embraer secures deal for two C-390 Millennium aircraft with comprehensive support package

Brazilian aerospace company Embraer has signed a contract to deliver two C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft to an undisclosed customer. The deal includes a comprehensive package covering training, support, and spare parts to ensure seamless operation of the aircraft.

 

The C-390 Millennium will be tailored to meet the customer’s needs, including capabilities for tactical transport of troops and vehicles, humanitarian aid, disaster response, and medical evacuation. This multi-mission aircraft has been praised for its state-of-the-art technology, operational reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Bosco da Costa Jr, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, expressed pride in the selection, stating that the C-390 is redefining military transport aviation with its superior performance and versatility. The new customer becomes the tenth nation to choose the C-390, joining countries like Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, and South Korea.

 

 

Since its introduction in 2019, the C-390 has demonstrated exceptional performance, accumulating over 15,500 flight hours across various missions with a mission capability rate of 93% and a mission completion rate above 99%. The aircraft currently operates with the Brazilian, Portuguese, and Hungarian air forces, solidifying its reputation in military aviation.

The C-390 stands out with its ability to carry a payload of 26 tonnes, fly at speeds of up to 470 knots, and operate on unpaved runways, making it ideal for diverse missions. When equipped with air-to-air refuelling capabilities, it is designated as the KC-390, capable of acting as both a tanker and a receiver, enhancing its operational flexibility.
