France: DGA receives second Rafale B360 aircraft for French Air and Space Force

The Directorate General of Armament (DGA) has taken delivery of the second Rafale B360 twin-seater aircraft at Dassault Aviation's facility in Mérignac, destined for the French Air and Space Force. The aircraft was then transported to the DGA Flight Test and Expertise Center in Istres to be upgraded to the F4.1 standard.

This Rafale B360 is part of a total order of 40 aircraft planned for delivery by the end of 2025, including 13 to the French Air and Space Force in 2023. Currently, the DGA has placed an order for 192 series aircraft, out of which 154 have already been delivered. An additional order for 42 Rafale aircraft is planned in 2023.

All Rafale B360 twin-seater aircraft will undergo the F4-1 upgrade before being delivered to the French Air and Space Force. The F4-1 standard represents the latest advancements and enhancements in the Rafale’s capabilities.

The Rafale is a multirole fighter aircraft that has proven its effectiveness in various missions, including air superiority, ground attack, and reconnaissance. With its advanced avionics, powerful engines, and weapon systems, the Rafale continues to strengthen the operational capabilities of the French Air and Space Force.
