Lockheed Martin continues development of JASSM missile family

The United States Department of Defense has entered into a contract with Lockheed Martin for the development of a new variant of the AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) cruise missile, designated as the AGM-158D.

The agreement is worth USD 240 million and is set to be completed by February 2025, as stated by the US Department of Defense.



Under this contract, Lockheed Martin will undertake development, integration, and testing activities for the AGM-158D JASSM cruise missile.

Detailed technical specifications for the new version of the JASSM missile have not been disclosed by the Pentagon.
