Raytheon, a business of RTX, has signed a $3.7 billion contract to deliver Patriot GEM-T interceptors to Ukraine. The agreement is intended to support Ukraine’s air and missile defense capabilities amid ongoing demand for interceptor systems.

The contract includes production supported by a new GEM-T facility in Schrobenhausen, Germany. The site is operated by COMLOG, a joint venture between Raytheon and MBDA Deutschland, and is expected to play a key role in strengthening supply chain resilience and replenishing interceptor inventories.

“Raytheon is focused on maximizing production capacity, ensuring a steady, reliable supply of these combat-proven interceptors for the U.S. and allies like Ukraine who rely on Patriot to protect their citizens, infrastructure and sovereignty,” said Phil Jasper. “Raytheon is investing heavily to increase GEM-T production to support growing global demand, driven by major internal and partner investments, second sourcing initiatives and the expansion of our global supply chain.”

The Patriot Advanced Capability-2 Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical interceptor is designed to counter a range of airborne threats, including tactical ballistic missiles. It serves as a primary effector for the Patriot air and missile defense system.

The Patriot system is currently used by 19 countries and is a core component of their air defense architectures. RTX said the system has demonstrated effectiveness against a wide range of airborne threats in operational use.
