Soldiers from the Swedish Army demonstrated their advanced artillery capabilities with the Archer system during live-fire mission rehearsals at Dynamic Front 25, held in Finland on 19 November 2024. The event highlighted the Swedish Army's proficiency with this cutting-edge long-range artillery platform, which is also employed by the British Army.

Dynamic Front 25, conducted from 4 to 24 November 2024, spans five countries—Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. The exercise demonstrates NATO’s capacity to integrate fire mission targeting and operational coordination from the Arctic to the Black Sea, strengthening the Alliance’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively in a wide range of scenarios.

With over 1,800 U.S. service members and 3,700 multinational troops from 28 Allied and partner nations participating, the exercise underscores NATO’s commitment to collaboration and readiness. Dynamic Front 25 increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multinational environment, and leverages host-nation capabilities to increase USAREUR-AF’s operational reach.

The Archer artillery system exemplifies modern military technology, offering advanced features that enhance precision, efficiency, and flexibility in long-range engagements. The exercise allows participating nations to exchange expertise and refine interoperability, a critical element of NATO’s collective defence strategy.

By leveraging host-nation capabilities and fostering multinational cooperation, Dynamic Front 25 strengthens the operational readiness of NATO forces. It reflects the Alliance’s determination to maintain a robust and unified presence across Europe, from the northernmost Arctic regions to the Black Sea.
