HexaForce is designed to consolidate information from multiple sensors, drones and other sources into a shared, current and actionable view of the operational environment. The platform is intended to support commanders and operators at every level, from strategic headquarters to tactical units.
The system uses artificial intelligence capabilities developed through cortAIx, Thales’ AI accelerator, which brings together 800 specialized engineers and data scientists. During experimentation, the technology increased the number of targeting objectives processed each day from 100 to 1,000, according to Thales.
The company said the results illustrate how AI can reduce the burden created by growing volumes of battlefield information and help increase the pace of operations. HexaForce is designed to identify relevant information from large data flows and make it available to support faster operational decisions.
Built around an open, sovereign and interoperable architecture, HexaForce is designed to integrate with existing command systems and operate in coalition environments. Thales said the architecture is intended to give armed forces a rapid and sovereign response to increasingly complex information and operational requirements.
The system was developed in cooperation with armed forces, with user feedback incorporated throughout the development process. Thales said this approach is intended to ensure HexaForce remains closely aligned with operational requirements while supporting decision-making across multiple domains.
