U.S. Air Force deploys B-1B Lancer bobmers to Guam for Indo-Pacific operations

The U.S. Air Force has deployed multiple B-1B Lancer aircraft, Airmen, and support equipment from the 34th Bomb Squadron, based at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The deployment, which began on 15 January 2025, supports Pacific Air Forces’ training initiatives and strategic deterrence missions in the Indo-Pacific region.

 

This Bomber Task Force (BTF) mission underscores the United States’ commitment to collaborating with Allies, partners, and joint forces to uphold the rules-based international order. The initiative demonstrates operational resilience by enabling various strategic bombers to operate from diverse locations within the U.S. and abroad.

 

 

The deployment also supports regional joint events, showcasing the integration of advanced Air Force capabilities with other components of the Department of Defense. This approach highlights the U.S. military’s ability to deliver global airpower in cooperation with international partners to ensure stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
