Air defence: Netherlands seeks to buy two additional Patriot launchers

The Netherlands has received approval from the U.S. Department of State to purchase and modernise M903 launchers for its Patriot air defence systems. The transaction, valued at up to USD 224 million, may be conducted through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme.

 

The Dutch government has requested the purchase of two M903 launchers, along with a range of modernisation packages and services to upgrade its existing M901 launchers to the same standard. The package includes modification kits, conversion kits for PAC-3 MSE missiles, control systems, logistical support, spare parts, and additional logistical, engineering, and technical support.

The main contractors for the potential deal will be Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, along with RTX Corporation.
