The components will support the turret installed on the ACV-30, the infantry fighting vehicle variant of the Marine Corps’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle. American Rheinmetall said the work would contribute to the service’s operational readiness and mission flexibility.
Production will be divided between the company’s facilities in Lapeer and Lansing, Michigan. American Rheinmetall will carry out the work as a subcontractor to Kongsberg.
The agreement broadens the relationship between the two companies beyond their existing collaboration at American Rheinmetall’s Maine facility, which supports the CROWS program. It also adds a new customer to the company’s Michigan operations and further diversifies its U.S. manufacturing business.

The award gives American Rheinmetall’s Michigan sites a direct role in MCT-30 turret production for a major Marine Corps modernization program. The company said the contract also supports its expansion within the U.S. defense industrial base as it broadens its capabilities and customer reach.
