The largest share of deliveries came from the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter line. Boeing handed over 15 Apache helicopters during the quarter, including six newly built aircraft and nine rebuilt from older versions.
The CH-47F Chinook line accounted for six additional deliveries. That total included four new helicopters and two aircraft rebuilt from earlier configurations.
Boeing also delivered three MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters in the second quarter. The type added to a military rotorcraft total led by Apache and Chinook deliveries.
Fixed-wing deliveries included three F-15EX Eagle II fighters and three F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft. Boeing also delivered four KC-46A Pegasus tankers and one P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
The preliminary summary did not include Boeing’s order backlog. Several aircraft included in the delivery figures, including the AH-64, CH-47, F-15EX and P-8A, continue to receive recurring orders.
The second-quarter figures point to a slight recovery in Boeing’s military aircraft output compared with the first three months of the year. Helicopter deliveries remained the main driver, while fighter, tanker and maritime patrol aircraft contributed smaller volumes.
Boeing has still not begun serial production and deliveries of the T-7A Red Hawk advanced trainer. As a result, the aircraft was not included in the company’s military delivery figures for the second quarter.
