L3Harris Technologies said it is using its global scale and local partnerships to deliver tailored support for NATO nations. The company said it aims to provide capability ahead of need as European countries respond to heightened threat signals from adversaries.

The company said effective deterrence requires capabilities that are resilient in all operational environments and interoperable across echelons, domains and coalitions. It said new technologies being developed in the European Union can be integrated into larger systems for allied operations.

“We are supporting national and regional coalition requirements by harnessing our global reach and close customer collaboration,” said Jennifer Hanley, Vice President, International Business Development and Government Relations, L3Harris. “We coordinate with governments and militaries, provide in-country support and system production, and partner with local companies to strengthen the defense industrial base.”

L3Harris said local presence, support and partnerships are central to responding rapidly to new requirements. The company said this approach goes beyond developing technology and includes regional business and production footprints.

In Poland, L3Harris has opened a business office in Warsaw and operates an electro-optical/infrared sensor system production facility in Katowice. The company is also pursuing local manufacturing of tactical communications.

“We continue to grow our long-standing presence and support across Europe by strengthening collaboration with local governments, end users and industry partners while also expanding our regional business and production footprint,” said Tiziana Cotugno, Vice President, Business Development, L3Harris.

L3Harris has issued a purchase order to Polish government defence company Wojskowe Zaklady Elektroniczne S.A. to produce attitude control motors as a certified supplier for the U.S. Army’s Patriot missile programme. The step follows the installation of specialised equipment at a new WZE production facility in Zielonka, Poland, and training at an L3Harris rocket production campus in the United States.

In the Netherlands, L3Harris has worked with the Dutch government to support the FOXTROT radio network modernisation programme. A long-term agreement was signed in early 2025, and the first equipment reached soldiers that July under the company’s commercial approach to tactical radio production.

L3Harris and the Dutch Ministry of Defence have since signed a strategic partnership agreement for further cooperation. The company said the work reflects its focus on rapid delivery and sustained local engagement.

L3Harris said missionised business jets are becoming more important as European allies seek to close capability gaps. It said the war in Ukraine has reinforced the need for agile, survivable and interoperable airborne platforms that can be fielded in the near term.

The company said missionised business jets, based on proven commercial aircraft, offer altitude, speed, endurance and operational availability. It said these characteristics support persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as well as airborne early warning and control across coalition operations.

L3Harris said its AERIS X airborne early warning and control solution gives European nations a scalable and affordable path to strengthen sovereign capability. The company said the system combines local industry partnerships, in-country sustainment models, open-architecture mission systems and 70 years of missionisation expertise.

The company said it also supports allied navies in strengthening maritime security across Europe and beyond. Its maritime technologies include integrated sensors, payload handling systems and autonomous maritime platforms such as the Hunterwater mine-hunting unmanned surface vehicle.

L3Harris said its Bologna operation in Italy has nearly 190 years of naval innovation and more than 230 employees. The company said it provides maritime systems to more than 40 navies worldwide.

In the United Kingdom, L3Harris said it has supported the Royal Navy for more than 20 years. Its work includes integrated platform management systems for Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers, Astute-class submarines and Landing Platform Dock vessels.

The company also serves as the incumbent supplier on major frigate programmes. These include the Type 26, Type 31, Hunter class and Miecznik programmes.

L3Harris said its maritime systems are deployed on nearly 300 vessels across 28 navies. The company said this combines European industrial depth, global naval experience and next-generation innovation to support allied fleet readiness and resilience.

The company said its robotic systems are supporting defence and security operations across the United Kingdom, Europe and allied nations. L3Harris said its T4 and T7 robots are used for explosive ordnance disposal missions in demanding environments.

Customers include the U.K. Ministry of Defence, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and Australian Defence Force. The company said the robots help keep personnel away from danger while performing complex and high-risk tasks.

L3Harris said the systems can support EOD inspection, route clearance, hazardous material inspection and disposal. The company said their mobility and haptic controller allow operators to perform precise tasks such as unzipping backpacks and opening vehicle trunks and doors.

L3Harris said it uses operational insight from military customers to guide targeted technology investments. The company said those investments help inform solutions for other customers facing similar threats.

To address drone swarm threats, L3Harris developed the Wraith Shield counter-unmanned system software upgrade. The system turns Wraith waveform-capable communication devices into sense-and-protect assets.

The company said Wraith Shield can operate as a stand-alone capability. It can also be combined with VAMPIRE and Drone Guardian systems to build a multi-asset counter-unmanned system network.

L3Harris also highlighted night-vision requirements for modern military operations. It said close combat support personnel need advanced night-vision devices to keep pace with front-line soldiers in varied environments.

The company unveiled its NOVA binocular system this year as an “every soldier” goggle. L3Harris said the system uses image intensifier technology and high-volume manufacturing to make advanced night-vision capability more affordable for wider troop use.

L3Harris said it continues to expand its role as a partner to governments, militaries and local industries across Europe and beyond. The company said its approach combines global technology, real-world operational insight and in-country production that can support jobs, economic growth and allied interoperability.
