According to the ministry, the deal is valued at approximately USD 735 million. Deliveries of the JASSM-ER cruise missiles will begin in 2026 and are scheduled to be completed by 2030.
The exact number of JASSM-ER cruise missiles ordered by Poland has not been disclosed. The Polish Ministry of National Defence stated that the contract covers “several hundred” missiles. However, in March 2024, the United States Department of State approved a possible sale to Poland of up to 821 JASSM-ER missiles.

The AGM-158 JASSM-ER cruise missile has a range of approximately 1,000 km. The Polish Air Force currently has both JASSM and JASSM-ER cruise missiles in its arsenal, carried by F-16 fighter jets, which are the core of the Polish Air Force.
In April 2024, then-Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited a Lockheed Martin facility. During his visit, he indicated Poland’s interest in also purchasing JASSM-XR missiles, which have a range of 1,600-1,800 km. According to the Polish Ministry of National Defence, this newly contracted large number of JASSM-ER cruise missiles will become a key component of the Polish national early warning and deterrence system.
