Swedish defence and security company Saab has successfully delivered the fifth and final GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This delivery marks the completion of the fleet of five aircraft, which have been delivered to the UAE since 2020.

The GlobalEye is a state-of-the-art AEW&C solution, equipped with a range of advanced active and passive sensors designed to detect and identify objects over long distances in the air, at sea, and on land. By providing real-time information to the UAE’s air force, army, and navy, the GlobalEye system enhances situational awareness and enables early detection of potential threats.

This further reinforces Saab’s position as a leading provider in the airborne early warning and control segment.”
